Instructions for logging in and managing your account

Logging in

Once you are logged in SeAMK-Finna, you can renew your loans, reserve library material and save searches and favourites for later use. You can also check your profile information and pay fines online. When SeAMK students and staff are logged in, they'll have access to all electronic resources, such as e-books, e-journals and articles available at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.

There are three options for logging in:

HAKA login for SeAMK students and staff

The HAKA login is intended for students and staff at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.

How to log in:

  1. Log in to your account by selecting Login from the top menu bar. Select the login option SeAMK login from the top menu on the form.
  2. Click on Haka Login. Haka login uses multi-factor authentication. You can find more information about multi-factor authentication on Jelppari’s web pages. Then the login window will take you to the SeAMK login page. Type your SeAMK user name and password and return to SeAMK-Finna as a logged-in user.
  3. Connect your library card to your SeAMK-Finna account on the first login. Read the instructions for adding a library card.

Log in with an email address

Other patrons than SeAMK students and staff can order a single-use login link to their email address. The address has to be the same which a patron has notified the library.

SeAMK-Finna will send you a link which is valid for a limited period of time. You must open the link on the same device and on the same web browser which the link was ordered. No password or PIN code is needed.

If you wish, you can also save your login, so you don't have to order a login link each time.

Log in with a Finna ID

Logging in with Finna ID is an alternative for the single-use login with your email. You can create a Finna ID if you do not have it already. If you don't already have SeAMK Libary's library card, first register as customer with this form.

If you wish, you can also save your login, so you don't have to log in again each time.

Creating a new Finna ID:

  1. Log in to your account by selecting Login from the top menu bar. Select Finna ID.
  2. Select Create New Finna ID at the bottom of the login window.
  3. Enter your email as well as your choice of username and password into the form. The email address has to be the same which you have notified the library. After you have completed the form, click on Submit.

Tip! Your email address is a good username, as it is easy to remember.

  4. Instructions for your email address verification will be sent to the email address registered for your Finna account. If the message is delayed, make sure to check your junk mail folder.
  5. Your new Finna ID has been created once you have verified your email address. You can now log in. You can access your account by clicking My account at the top right of the page.
  6. If you already have SeAMK Library's library card, it will be automatically connected to your SeAMK-Finna account and you can renew your loans and reserve library material.

Forgotten the password for your Finna ID?

  1. Select Login -> Finna ID and click on Forgot your password? at the bottom of the login window.
  2. The link will take you to a form requesting your Finna ID username or email address. After completing the form, click on Recover password.
  3. Instructions for recovering your password will be sent to the email address registered for your account. If the message is delayed, make sure to check your junk mail folder.

Remembering your login

You can save your own login if you wish. This way you don't have to keep logging in again, which is especially useful when logging in on mobile devices. Remembering your login is possible when logging in with email account or Finna ID (other customers), but does not apply for HAKA login.

Please note when logging in:

  • If you want to save your login details, select the option “Remember my login for the next 180 days” when you log in.
  • Remembering the login is based on cookies. If the browser session is closed so that cookies are lost, the login will not remain valid.
